How do I find a scholarly journal article?

Answer

It depends. If you have a citation or know the article you need, the easiest way to find the article is to use Google Scholar when on campus or logged in to your SBC Google account. See our video here:

If you don't have a citation or know exactly the article that you need, a great place to start is using our research guides to suggest relevant databases for your subject: https://library.sbc.edu/researchguides

The library catalog searches the titles of many scholarly journals, so you can also try your topic there, although you may get so many results that it's overwhelming.

You can also chat with a librarian 24/7 to get help!
